Please find a number of options to experience Phalaborwa and the surrounding lowveld below. Send us an e-mail what you fancy — and we will tailor a personal package just for you, starting from R 3.600 per person only.
Option 1 Sundowner Cruise on the Olifants River (from 3 to 6 p.m.). Afterwards Braai-dinner (Barbecue) at the Olifants River Lodge (around 22 km from La Lechere Guest House and Hotel Phalaborwa; transfer through Foskor Mines with breath-taking views over the mining area).
Option 2 Whole day safari Kruger National Park. Enjoy your breakfast at Letaba rest camp overlooking the river and watching game. Go North to Mopani or Shingwedzi for lunch or South to Satara and return to La Lechere Guest House and Hotel Phalaborwa in the evening.
Option 3 Whole day Panorama tour to the Blyde River Canyon, the three rondavels, God's window and the falls.
Option 4 Go for an early morning safari to Kruger National Park and have breakfast at Letaba Rest Camp.
Visit Tshukudu Private Game Park in the afternoon for a sun set safari.
Tshukudu is home of Savannah, a tame cheetah, that likes to be petted but hunts her own food. Tshukudu Game Park is situated approx 65 km from Phalaborwa and a very worthwhile safari experience: you will see at least four of the Big Five.

Option 5 Guided tour at the Moholoholo wildlife rehabilitation centre in the morning — a very worthwhile addition to Tshukudu and Kruger National Park.
Have lunch at the Monsoon Gallery, that offers great arts, crafts, curios and food.
Visit world-famous hippo Jessica on your way back. Jessica grew up in a household, sleeps on the verandah, watches TV, loves classical music — but is free to visits it's hippo-friends down at the river.
Around 4:30 p.m a Kruger-National-Park safari vehicle will pick you up for a sun-downer/night-drive and a spectacular bush braai: enjoy delicious food and listen to the sounds of the bush with the crystal clear milky way right above your head.
Option 6 Visit Mapungubwe National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where a pre-Shona-kingdom (1050 bis 1270 n. Chr.) was once the most powerful kingdom in Southern Africa.
Option 7 Play golf on the Hans Merensky Golf Course that borders Kruger National Park here in Phalaborwa.
