Beautiful wild dogs sighting, just 1 km from the Phalaborwa Gate, by our lucky guests on the full day safari (which also included a female leopard with a cub and 2 different lion sightings) with guide Donald, who made the picture of the wild dogs.

Perfect stop-over between Johannesburg and Kruger Park

This was our second time in Lalechere guest house and the first time we had the opportunity to stay in one of the recently added rooms. Very spacious, beautifull decorated, very comfortable although the bed could have been a little bit longer. The owners Jan en Isabella did everything to make our night stay a comfortable one. The breakfast is excellent. The location is perfect if you are travelling, as we did, from Johannesburg to the Phalaborwa gate of the Kruger Park. We left Johannesburg at 09.45 and arrived in Phalaborwa at 16.15, despite a traffic jam north of Pretoria and poor weather conditions at Haenersburg. I feel blessed to have chosen this place.

Kruger Park visit

Comfortable Lodge about 5 min from Kruger Phalaborwa gate. Excellent value for the overall services. Team with Kim, James and all others were very very helpful with trip planning and more. Felt safe in those times. Great sightings in the nearby park with easy reachable and interesting rest areas like Ollifants or Letaba with river overlookings. Would stay there definately again. Good and easy drive to JNB airport in bit more than 5 hours. Thank you !

WONDERFUL

We stayed at La Lechere at the end of our visit to the Kruger Park. Unfortunately it was only one night. We felt very comfortable, had a very nice room. This was very clean and furnished with everything you need. The garden with the pool was also wonderful. The breakfast was very tasty. My husband and I immediately made friends with the two house dogs.

I was scared when I could not get a booking at my regular, but what a pleasant surprise.

The homely hospitality, the delightful meal after a long trip during lockdown, the peaceful surroundings, the personal touch which I never experienced at my previous location in this specific town. I will definitely stay here from now on. Jan's cooking is amazing!

Lovely quiet hotel with excellent facilities and good hosts.

Lovely hotel in a quiet part of the town. The room and food were excellent and the hosts very warm and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble for them. Would most definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Traumhaft

Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal hier und haben es nicht bereut, im Gegenteil. Das Zimmer ist schon, sauber und ausreichend gross. Nach einer aufregenden Safari kann mann sich nachmittags am Pool entspannen. Das Fruhstuck bekommt man auf Wunsch (wenn man schon um 5:30 Uhr zum Gate mochte) auch to go bekommen, welches sehr reichhaltig ist. Toll. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn es uns wieder nach Sudafrika zieht.

super afrikanisch gemütliches Guesthouse nahe am phalaborwa gate

Tropischer Garten mit 2 Pools, sehr liebevoller Service, große gemütliche afrikanische Zimmer super tolles und extrem geschmackvolles Abendessen, vom Hausherren gekocht. Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Nahe am phalaborwa Gate! Einfach besuchen und wohlfühlen!

Phenomenal isn't a strong enough word...

What an amazing experience we had at La Lechere! Isabella and Jan were phenomenal hosts and were just a pleasure to work with. Jan made us a gourmet multi-course dinner each night that rivaled any 3 Star Michelin quality restaurant. Absolutely delicious! The traditional English breakfast each morning was a great way to start our day as well. Isabella arranged for several tours for us and everything was handled so smoothly. The B&B is located in a safe neighborhood minutes from Phalaborwa Gate and close to shopping and fuel stations. The property offers plenty of parking with a security fence surrounding the entire complex. The rooms were beautiful and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We cannot wait to return!
